About the artist

I draw the moments around the table.

I'm Zeynep, the illustrator behind Carmelart. I'm a self-taught artist, I live and work in Poland, and alongside my own prints I draw illustrations for children's books.

Most of my pictures start at a table. Turkish coffee, with a few cups turned upside down for fortune telling. Ataya tea in Senegal, poured slowly, in rounds, for whoever is around. A long dinner where everyone reaches for the same plate at once. I'm drawn to the noise and warmth of people being together, and to the cats who always find their way into the scene.

Everything you see here is drawn by me on a tablet, line by line. No AI, no stock images, no templates. The colours are loud on purpose: I want a print to change the mood of a room the moment you walk in.

Every order is printed from my original file on 250g textured paper, checked, and packed by me in my studio. My two cats supervise. Thank you for being here and for supporting independent art.
