“The Emerald Ride” is a piece I made to feel a little theatrical and playful. An elegant rider in striped trousers and a wide-brimmed hat sits on a sleek black horse, who wears a small purple hat of her own, all set against a deep emerald green.

I wanted something with personality and a bit of wit, the kind of piece that starts conversations. The frame is handmade, with a distressed cream-white finish and fine gold speckle that gives it a vintage character. This is a single piece, not a print run.
